Troubleshoot the problem in order to find and repair only the fault that is present. If you need help to troubleshoot, post back.The service manual shows how to do a "dealer mode 1 and or dealer mode 2" test that may help you to find the problem, or you may have one of these: alternator trouble, wiring faulty, regualtor/rectifer trouble. On the 1500, the service manul says a special tool is need to pull the spark plug tubes, but you can fashion a tool out of the rear axle nut and unscrew the tube. I'd bet the 800 is similar.
