Oct 6, 2023 · I have been noticing the close caption has gotten a lot worse. There are fragmented sentences and incomplete sentences. Often there is no close captioning at all. Closed captioning used to be pretty reliable. Now it’s as if there’s someone that does not care or they are inexperienced. Ok. Strange development. I bought Quicktime Pro (Player 7), since I just had Player v10. And they show up in Quicktime Pro... Anybody know why? IS it a CAE 608 thing? O.k then first I have to say that I doubt very much the tv is the culprit here , it does not generate the closed caption in this case , it is the direct tv box that does and if it had problems processing the signal then you would have a jerky picture and/or sound cutoffs
